Liposuction

Liposuction

If you’re considering Liposuction

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that can help sculpt the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, including the abdomen, chest, hips, thighs, knees, arms and neck. Liposuction is performed through small incisions strategically placed in order to allow for a small metal tube, known as a cannula, to remove fat under the skin through use of suction. It is most effective in areas where the skin will contract after fat removal. Liposuction does not address excess skin, lax muscles or cellulite. Liposuction can remove stubborn areas of fat that don’t respond to traditional weight-loss methods

Are you a candidate for Liposuction?

The best candidates for liposuction are healthy people at their goal weight with firm, elastic skin who have pockets of excess fat in certain areas. Age is not a major consideration; however, older patients may have diminished skin elasticity and may not achieve the same results as a younger patient with tighter skin.
